Somalia: Islamic Militia gets more weapons for "Peace"

As the only plane in the last few years flew into Somalia, AP reporters were ordered away from the airport by Islamic Militants so they could not film the weapons being unloaded from a "chartered" Russian plane flying in from Eritria. The militants unloaded guns, mines and rocket propelled grenade launchers that they will use to "keep the peace" or better yet to "control" Somalia. That's funny....I thought Somalia had a UN authorized government? Oh, that's right, they were taken over by Islam (the official religion of peace) and its Holy Warriors, the same warriors who now threaten Ethiopia. You want to know what's even funnier? The ambassador to the UN just told the Islamic Militant leader that he was "pleased" to see all the good work they had done....no fighting in the streets, no barricades......that's right pure civility!! Yes, it is amazing how much "civility" an armed terror group can create by killing six hundred innocent civilians. Yup...nobody really wants to go out into the streets anymore....and God forbid you watch a movie under Sharia law (the official law of the "peaceful religion of Islam) as you would have to be "rehabilitated" what ever that means? It can't mean "torture" since we can now define that as naked detainees forming a pyramidal shape, or the "threatening" bark of a security dog, so I can only assume it means a "peaceful" and "kind"  beheading or something of that nature.

No wonder the US feels pressured to police the world....no one else wants to...including the UN.

Music: Great Big Sea

I wanted to tell everyone about an amazing band from Newfoundland called Great Big Sea. Their music is "folkloric"in nature (smile) and amazingly fun to listen to. You can check them out at www.greatbigsea.com    

I am hoping to travel to Newfoundland within a year to see all of the sights from their songs. My favorite song is "Tickle Cove Pond" - It's about how farmer's would take shortcuts across frozen ponds in Newfoundland, and sometimes the ice would break and both the farmer and his horse would fall in. The greatness of this story is that all of the neighbors would rush to their aid and help save the horse from a sure death in Tickle Cove Pond.

This song in particular has kind of a "Celtic" sound to it. Try it you'll like it!!


I heard this band in Tucson Arizona and they were complete crowd pleasers and great musicians! Go see them!!

Humanitarian Crisis: Disproportionate

I believe I heard Kofi Annan and the French calling the situation in Lebanon a "humanitarian disaster"....well, I think that may be a little disproportionate. The Plague was a "humanitarian disaster", AIDS could be called a "humanitarian disaster", the starvation of hundreds of thousands of children in Africa and Ethiopia could be called a "humanitarian disaster".......but with a death toll of around 300 lives I hardly consider Lebanon a "humanitarian disaster"....I think that might be a little "disproportionate". By the way, there is a way to stop this: Hezbollah could surrender, or Hezbollah could give back the Israeli Soldiers it kidnapped, or Hezbollah could simply go back to Iran and Syria where it belongs. The ball is in their court.

Movie: PIRATES!! Ahhrrr!!

Who has seen the new Pirates movie....raise your hands. What did you think? I thought it was excellent and very well thought out. The special effects were nothing short of amazing, and the acting was superb by ALL of the cast. Johnny Depp did a great job of playing Capt. Jack Sparrow, but here's my question : Why did he prance around with an "effeminate" gait? Is this yet another Hollywood attempt to slowly feminize everything masculine? After making Cowboys fall in love with each other do we now have to deal with gay or metrosexual pirates? It makes me wonder if anything masculine is still sacred to the movie-making activists. What happened to John Wayne style movies? What happened to Dirty Harry? What about Rocky? What happened to the manly hero? Here's a thought : are women executives in Hollywood creating these characters because they are more attracted to them? What do you think?

Israeli Humanitarian Assistance

How come humanitarian aid and assistance isn't flowing into Israel? Where is the Red Cross when Hezbollah is sending thousands of missiles and rockets into Israel's neighborhoods and slaughtering its people? Where are the pictures of innocent Israeli women and children in the biased anti-semitic big media? Where is the International call for Hezbollah to stop its annihilation of Israel? People are dying in Haifa and Kofi Annan hasn't said "jack" about it. Talk to me.
